Carlton Arena Taekwondo

Pee Wee's

Pee Wee's are boys and girls aged between 5 and 6 starting to practice taekwondo!

Over the last three years Master Chatel has been involved with promoting taekwondo in local primary and secondary schools.

It all started over four years ago when a head teacher from West Bridgford approached Master Chatel to ask if Carlton Arena Taekwondo would provide a demonstration of this martial art.

Following the demonstration the head teacher and Master Chatel discussed the possibility of introducing taekwondo to the after school activities of the primary school. In September 2005 the first class began with 25 boys and girls joining, the club was an instant success and still runs at the school with a core of some 30 "Pee Wee" students.

Other schools in the area contacted us and to this date we have around 60 "Pee Wee's" training at four local schools.

The aim is to promote taekwondo, but also has more reaching aspects in the realms of respect, self discipline and control, and success through work and effort, while always promoting fitness, stamina and physical flexibility.
